My name is Debbie and, along with my husband Tim, we are excited to have the opportunity to share some of our history, our hopes and our dreams with you. We are blessed with good health, a loving family, great friends and financial stability. Our greatest dream is to have a family of our own.
We met four years ago thanks to the prodding of a close mutual friend who just knew we would be perfect for one another. He was right. Tim and I met for dinner and, before the night was over, we both knew that we were destined to have a life and a family together. We have been together ever since. I was born in New York and moved with my family to Texas when I was 9. After graduating high school, I continued my education at San Diego State University where I received a degree in Psychology. Since moving back to New York, I’ve enjoyed a rewarding career working in the financial industry. Now that Tim and I are married, we decided that I should “retire” from my first career to begin my second, the rewarding journey of starting, growing and raising our family. I’m blessed with a gentle personality and a patient, kind soul and I know I will be a wonderful mother and create a nurturing, fun-loving and safe environment in which a child will prosper. Tim grew up in a small town outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The youngest in a family of six children, he learned early the value of hard work, education, honesty and faith. After high school, Tim studied at the University of Delaware, earning a degree in Accounting. Since then, he has built a reputation for himself as a leader in several industries and is now a partner in an Investment Banking firm. Tim finds his career to be both rewarding and challenginhg, but, above all, he is an affectionate and caring man, deeply devoted to his family and friends. He appreciates all that life has to offer and will cherish the experience of being a father. Tim and I recognize the importance of a strong, extended family. As a couple, we enjoy nothing more than a house full of family and friends. Between us, we have eight brothers and sisters and sixteen nieces and nephews ranging in age from 6 months to 24 years. Another special member of our family is Murphy, our yellow Lab. His gentle temperament and unconditional love has added nothing but joy to our lives. We have also seen first hand the amazing benefits of adoption in our own family as Tim’s brother and his wife have two adopted children. Most of our family lives nearby, making it possible for us to be together on weekends and holidays. We also host a family party at our beach house each year to bring both sides of the family together. It is a blessing to have such a close, loving and supportive family environment to share with our child. As parents, we want to share the things we are fortunate to have. But most of all, we want to nurture and raise a strong, curious and loving child. Tim and I are ready, prepared and excited for the challenges and the rewards of raising children. With the loving support of our family and friends, we look forward to welcoming a new baby into our lives and fulfilling our dream of building a happy, healthy family through adoption.
