We are Chris and Brooke. We met about twelve and a half years ago and have been inseparable ever since. We have been happily married going on 10 years. Our relationship is based on love, being each other's best friends and mutual respect. We are an enthusiastic couple who really enjoys life. We always knew that we wanted children and to start our own family. We started trying about six years ago, but have struggled through the infertility process, numerous tests, surgeries and 4 artificial inseminations with no success. It was been 7 years now and after many thoughts and prayers we feel that adoption is the answer for us.
We have successfully completed our home study and are anxiously awaiting a new baby. Chris and I are so ready to get our family started. Our families are very excited about our decision to adopt and are looking forward to welcoming a new member into our family, especially all the kids. Brooke grew up in a close family with two brothers and a sister. She is longing to have her own family. Brooke has always loved children and enjoys spending time with our five nephews and three nieces. Chris grew up with a brother and sister, who he still remains close to. Brooke is a very dynamic person who has been blessed with many wonderful qualities. She has an incredible desire to be a mother. Ever since we were first married she spoke of wanting to raise children and be a mom. Brooke enjoys reading books and spending time relaxing by the lake. She has big plans for a rose garden because of her love for fresh cut flowers in our home. She enjoys cooking and entertaining our family and friends. Brooke is a good golfer. Her favorite course is called Hawk Creek on the Oregon Coast. She enjoys the natural beauty of this course and especially the stream that winds through the majority of the holes. We have had many special afternoons golfing in the sun while forgetting the seriousness of life. Brooke is an Interior Designer with exceptional taste. She has made our home absolutely beautiful and enjoys working on it in her free time. She has redesigned many areas of the house over the years. She has developed an extensive list of clients over the past 9 years while working for the same Interior Design Company. Brooke plans on taking time away from her career as we raise our child. She will continue to see her clients as many are friends. Chris is a caring, warm, and fun-loving person, who would make such an amazing Father. He is a kid at heart, which would explain why all the kids are so drawn to him. Chris enjoys the simple things that life has to offer. He loves to spend time outside working on our property. Chris has a strong passion for landscape design. He continually borrows ideas from books, friends, and out the window of a moving car. He is not afraid to move a tree he has planted three or four times in a season until its perfect. He is a great water-skier and finds peace on the lake. He is not afraid to try new activities behind the boat as we found out a couple years ago when he began to ride the Air-Chair. The hydrofoil is very bizarre and involves some balance. When he has time he enjoys golfing with friends and family. He attends a few golf tournaments for work each year to raise money for different types of medical conditions. Chris enjoys his job selling medical devices and implants to surgeons and hospitals. He has great balance in his career and considers his customers his friends first. We have been blessed with a wonderful home on a lake with the opportunity to share it constantly with friends and family. We enjoy the feeling you get from boating and being able to escape on the water. Our Jack Russell Terrier named Madison loves all the kids and energetically jumps off the dock into the water with them, as swimming is one of her many specialties. Our cat named Java is much more laid back with sleeping one of his top priorities. We also share a place on the Oregon Coast that allows us to escape a few times each year. There is something magical about the salt air at the ocean and it always seems to ground us and let us know what’s truly important in our life. Although our lives appear full of so many blessings, it has been a difficult road over the last six years. Trying for something that you just assume should be so easy is heartbreaking. We feel that our lives would be complete, by being blessed with a child. Thank you for even giving us the opportunity to be considered.
