Who Pays the Bills?
Adopting parents will pay your pregnancy-related medical and hospital bills if you do not have insurance or medical aid. Also, California and most other states permit adoptive parents to pay your rent and support during your period of incapacity: usually considered to be the last three or four months before birth, and six to eight weeks after.
